Citrus medica var. dulcis

The name sweet lemon〔(Sorting Citrus names part 2, entry for ''Citrus medica'' var. ''dulcis'' )〕 refers to a ''Citrus'' tree (''Citrus medica'' var. ''dulcis'') and its fruit. ''Dulcis'' is Latin for sweet, and it comes to identify a lemon or lime that is lacking acidity in its pulp and juice.
It is possibly the same as the cultivar known as Mediterranean sweet limetta.〔 In Iran, the fruit is widely used and is called a “sweet lemon” (). This fruit is often found being used in herbal medicine.
